Free & Reduced Price Meal Program

 2019-20 applications
are now available.
Please call 928-642-1234 if you have any questions.

Parents and/or guardians must re-apply each school year for the free & reduced meal program.

Your child may be eligible to receive free or reduced school meals. To apply for free or reduced-price meals, an adult household member needs to complete an application to determine eligibility.

One application should be used to list all children in the household.

Eligibility is determined by household size and income criteria.  Children from households whose income is at or below the levels set by the USDA Child Nutrition Program are eligible.  Foster children that are under the legal responsibility of a foster care agency or court are eligible for free meals regardless of income and should be included on your application.  All children in households receiving benefits from SNAP (food stamps), the Food Distribution Program on Indian Reservations or TANF, can get free meals regardless of your income.

Please remember that it is the parent's responsibility to make sure the Food Service Department receives the application.  Each application can take up to 10 days to process.  Benefits do not begin until the date your application is approved and you are responsible for all meals purchased prior to that date.

Print the application, fill it out completely with signature and bring it or mail it to Mayer Unified School PO BOX 1059 Mayer, Az 86333 or return the application to your child's school. Please call Susie Allen, Food Service Director at
928-642-1234.  Thank you.

Applications, Instructions, and Parent Letters are available for download here.

Applications are also available in English and Spanish at each school's office and from the school cafeterias.
